Welcome to Lovely Lavender, a space where our love for plants, sustainability, and natural wellness comes together. Although we’re just beginning our journey with lavender, my passion for the environment and plant cultivation has been growing for years — from my academic studies to hands-on work across Hawai‘i’s agricultural and sustainability sectors.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, and my career has taken me through a wide range of experiences that deepened my respect for plants, ecology, and mindful living. I’ve interned monitoring native plants in Hawai‘i, worked with Blue Ocean Barns and Cyanotech cultivating cyanobacteria and Asparagopsis taxiformis, and gained experience in medical cannabis cultivation, cacao farming, and supporting local agriculture through small start-ups like the Hawai‘i ‘Ulu Cooperative. I also worked in quality control at Waiākea Hawaiian Volcanic Water, where sustainability and precision played key roles in everyday operations.
While lavender is a new chapter for us, this blog is where we’ll share what we learn along the way — from gardening basics and sustainable techniques to the many wellness and beauty benefits lavender is known for. Lovely Lavender is a place for curiosity, growth, and connection, especially for those who are discovering lavender right alongside us.
